In the summer of 2024, Gage Academy of Arts completed a transformative renovation of its 14,000-square-foot facility at Block 20 in Seattle, WA. With a project value of over $300k, this initiative modernized the academy’s spaces to support its educational mission while integrating energy-efficient and flexible systems tailored to an artistic environment. Teknon Electrical Services provided specialized electrical solutions tailored to the facility’s needs, ensuring compliance with Washington State Energy Codes.
The project included installing new feeders and a 100A branch panel to address expanded power needs, alongside upgrades to existing panels. A custom-designed lighting control system with five separate zones was implemented in the life model classroom, providing instructors with unparalleled flexibility to create the ideal learning environment. Teknon also enhanced safety by integrating new fire alarm devices into the building’s existing infrastructure and ensured smooth operation of mechanical systems by installing and connecting disconnects. Through this comprehensive effort, Gage Academy now offers a state-of-the-art space for students and educators, aligning with its goals of fostering creativity and community engagement.
